People are often surprised at our decision to make Dracoeye free.
In fact, some people are actually downright confused that Dracoeye is free, and ask why we don’t charge for it. But there’s actually a very good reason behind our decision.
Anyone working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) understands the daily necessity of searching across multiple resources to enrich triage and investigation processes. Whether it’s using Siteshot to view a suspicious domain without directly visiting it, checking VirusTotal for known compromises on a site, or using a blacklist checker to see if an email has been previously identified as malicious, there are numerous ways to gather data to form a comprehensive picture of potential threats.
th4ts3cur1ty.company’s Security Analysis tool, Dracoeye, consolidates the majority of these browser-based tools into a single platform, allowing analysts to avoid having 50 tabs open at once. Instead, they can confidently rely on Dracoeye to streamline their triage and investigation efforts.
Since allowing early access to the beta version to gauge international interest, we have been excited to see that it has quickly become a favourite tool among SOC analysts. It is also commonly used by accounting teams, and has been integrated into training and awareness programs by numerous companies.
So, why did we decide to make Dracoeye free?
We believe that Dracoeye genuinely benefits the cybersecurity ecosystem and showcases our business ethos. We are talented and relentless, but we also believe in giving back.
Anyone can use Dracoeye to experience a safer online environment, whether they are children, the elderly, CEOs, or experienced cyber defenders. Making something this useful inaccessible was an option for us, but we are solidly committed to our mission of making cybersecurity accessible to everyone.
Check out Dracoeye here! And please do feel free to send us feedback and ideas for future features you’d like to see.
